So far, things have been going well, but these short dates are already starting to become, well, boring. I know I don’t want to get ahead of myself and burn out, but I can feel myself wishing I was farther into this than I am. For now, I’ll have to be content with my little steps and hope that I don’t bore everyone away.
The next step I've decided to take is to simply make the date last a little longer. With the past couple dates, I've only planned a single activity and left dinner out of it. But just like making a meal, you can’t really call “a loaf of bread” a meal. In other words, dates have lots of ingredients, just like a food recipe. So presenting a single ingredient is hardly helpful to anyone. Even if it is just trying to stay low key.
So for each subsequent date, I’ll be adding to the “recipe,” until we start having full dates that can be useful to everyone.
That first step up is to have a longer commitment. For this week, that means a date that lasts at least two hours long.
Sure, it may still seem short, but considering it is about twice as long as the last two I planned, it’s a move in the right direction.
Along with this, I will try to be more useful with my posts and less wordy.
